Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about accreditation, state approvals, payments, access, and certificates.
Course Structure
What’s included in the recertification course?
Each recertification course (EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic) is organized into three sections, and each section issues its own completion certificate. This gives you maximum flexibility to meet your agency or state needs.
- Personal — Your self-selected CE hours.
- Local / State — Content required by your state, region, or agency.
- National — Content mapped to the NREMT NCCP National Component.
To fully satisfy National Registry (NREMT) recertification, complete all three sections (Personal, Local / State, and National). If your state’s Local / State requirements were completed elsewhere (e.g., via your agency or a state course), you may skip that section here and still use your Personal and National certificates from MedConEd toward your recertification packet.
Tip: Keep all three MedConEd certificates handy—many states and agencies ask to see which hours were applied to each component.
